United Counties 859 Respray (Premium Version)

These production photos showcase the premium version of United Counties Bristol VR 859 during its creation.

There are very few good photos of this vehicle featuring its unique livery, which was introduced in 1983.

Initially, the bus was painted light yellow and leaf green, but it was later changed to a two-tone green with light green replacing the yellow. Over time, the livery deteriorated and was patched up.

With limited information available, I have replicated 859 in its second livery as accurately as possible using a custom-mixed colour in conjunction with leaf green.

The model is completely stripped to bare metal, etch-primed, and base-coated in green. Leaf green is applied first, followed by the custom green colour. Enamel paint is used throughout and oven-baked.

Aside from the NBC leaf green and wheel grey, everything on the model is custom-produced.
